Evan Ayars

Evan Ayars, Chantilly Choir Director Evan Ayars was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, but moved to Virginia not long after. He grew up in McLean and graduated from Langley High School in 2001. While at Langley, Mr. Ayars was in the Madrigals all four years. He also was active in the Drama department and was nominated for a Cappie Award for his role as the Teen Angel in Grease in 2000.

Mr. Ayars graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Music Education from James Madison University in 2005. At JMU, he performed with both the Chorale and the Madison Singers. He was also in many musicals and operas.

After JMU, Mr. Ayars was a long-term substitute chorus teacher at Rachel Carson Middle School for four months before becoming a full–time General Music/Chorus teacher at Brookfield Elementary School from 2006-2012.

Mr. Ayars is an avid performer; singing at weddings, part-time at Trinity United Methodist Church, and performing in choral groups in the DC area. He also coaches an adult co-ed softball team in Fairfax. He is excited to be working at the High School level and is looking forward to building and growing Chantilly's Choral Department.
