Chantilly Choir - Choral Finances Overview

As educators we would love to be able to say that a quality public education is completely free of serious financial obligations. However, that would be irresponsible and unrealistic. In order to provide for the educational opportunities our students experience and the materials they need, there are real budgetary plans that must be supported along the way.
As a member of The Chantilly Choral Department, there are numerous financial responsibilities that must be addressed during the school year. In addition to the standard co-curricular fees, the overall cost of touring travel, competitions, and accommodations and activities related to such events averages between $600.00 and $1,400.00 per student each school year.
Since these activities are a required part of the class, we make every effort to provide fundraising opportunities and group financial incentives to help defray the cost of these activities. It is vitally important that you know and understand your financial responsibilities, and that you and your family take part in every fundraiser to assist us in reaching our goals for the year.
IMPORTANT NOTE
No one will be denied participation for a true shown financial need and with adequate fundraising efforts. In cases where students
receive free and reduced lunches and an actual shown financial need is established, students must fundraise at least 50% of all
financial obligations in order to be considered for financial aid from the school and/or the boosters.
